Hammer Mills

Hammer mills are machines to reduce particle size. These machines using continuous high speed hammer blows grind and crush material. Internal hammer shatter and disintegrate the material. Mills allow for a wide variety of applications based on primary, secondary, or tertiary crushers.

Hammer mill is mainly a steel drum containing a vertical or horizontal rotating shaft or drum on which hammers are mounted. 

Small grain hammer mills can be operated on household current. Large hammer mills used in automobile shredders may be driven by diesel or electric motors ranging from 2000 to over 5000 horsepower.
